Position Overview:
The Production Manager oversees all aspects of the stone production and fabrication process. From programming and running/overseeing machine operation to production scheduling and quality control.

This role is also responsible to establish, manage and lead production teams to create products in line with the company's quality standards.

They will often work with sales, project management, programming and install teams.

Responsibilities

Oversee day to day operations of the production shop – ensuring efficiency and productivity.
Manage a team of shop employees – providing guidance and support as needed.
Coordinate and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely completion.
Establish, enforce, and coordinate the process of quality control.
Program and oversee machine operation as part of production.
Collaborate and communicate with leadership and other key departments regarding scheduling, project status updates and production concerns.
Safely operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role or industry preferred.
Strong knowledge and skills in programming, machine operation and stone fabrication. (Knowledge of Taglio systems including Lastra, Breton COMBICUT and Northwood Machines Fab Center are preferred).
Proficient in operating a variety of tools and equipment related to the trade.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
Strong supervisory, management, and people skills.
Scheduling/Inventory Software experience preferred. (Stone Profit Systems or a similar industry specific software)
Excellent prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
Effective communication with exceptional professional etiquette, strong critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Google Suite.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
