Nicole Hall

Throughout my career, I worked with technology. I began in hardware sales, then progressed to software sales. I then went back to school to learn how to build, test, and ship bug-free software. I have positively impacted business outcomes through effective organization, prioritization, and execution of key projects. I grew up in Silicon Valley. My dad was a developer at Bell Labs in the 1980s. I can honestly say that technology is literally in my DNA.

My skills and qualifications are an ideal match for a role as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). Previously, in my Embedded QA/SDET role at Sling, I was part of a development team and attended all scrum ceremonies. I maintained and contributed to an end-to-end suite of tests. I also worked on manual testing projects for mobile devices. I see my future as an Embedded QA and Software Development Engineer in Test because I love the work.

I've been called "the Swiss Army Knife" by my manager because I will take on responsibilities outside of my job description if needed. I enjoy being a valuable member of ANY team.

My strength is that I am not complacent. I don't settle for mundane repetitions. I always want to try new things and learn along the way. I am an excellent communicator. Collaboration is something that comes naturally to me. Software developers have a reputation for being “nerdy” and “reclusive.” I am outgoing and inclusive. If I have questions, I will ask them. If I see an obstacle, I will address it.
