- Ensure parent education aligns with the St. Louis Park Public Schools vision, mission, and core values
- Provide parent education that is inclusive and culturally relevant for all families
- Build authentic relationships with families, ensuring a strong connection between home, school, and the community
- Lead and facilitate parent education groups and activities
- Plan and implement family focused, integrated curriculum using the Parent Education Frameworks Early Childhood Indicators of Progress
- Model, provide, and offer resources and support to promote the development of parenting knowledge and skills
- Collaborate with the Early Learning Program team to design creative and supportive learning environments
- Provide outreach and promote ECFE programming to underrepresented families
- Utilize a variety of outreach strategies to build community partnerships and connections
- Promote parenting and family engagement within the community by supporting events and coordinating home and community visits
- Work evening/weekend hours in addition to attending meetings and professional development as required
- Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies to meet a wide range of learning styles
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with parents, staff, and community members of diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of child development theories and developmental stages
- Knowledge of current trends, theories, and technologies pertaining to learning and instruction
- Physically able to be active with small children (lifting, kneeling, bending, etc.)
- Must hold a valid Minnesota Parent Educator license
- At least one year of related experience preferred
