    Description

    Shift:
    Day 3x12-Hour (11:00 - 23:00)

    CCHMC will accept first time Travelers, however they will still need 2 years of work experience in the specialty they are applying for.


    Shift:
    Days 11AM -11PM

    Minimum of 1 yr. experience in Psychiatric setting, PEDS experience is required
    BLS Required
    Experience with bipolar, anxiety, eating, psychotic, depressive disorders preferred
    Every other weekend/HOLIDAY required
    Unable to guarantee block scheduling but will attempt to work with requests

    Preferred 1 year of travel experience. PEDS experience is required.


    Requirements:

    Strong communication and relationship building skills; experience with children and adolescents; physically competent to lift 25 lbs and participate in a physical hold/restraint (securing a patients arm/leg while on the ground); successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training which will be provided within the first month of the contract; and consistent compliance with wearing of behavioral personal protective equipment.

    Previous training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) strongly preferred for select positions.

    Locked/secured unit/facility.


    Duties include:

    Facilitation of therapeutic groups; complete safety checks; assist with ADLs (meal supervision, bathing, toileting, laundry, etc); engage in recreational play with the patients (games, gym, etc); and provide 1:1 sitter supervision for high-risk/acute patients on inpatient unit or in the Emergency Department.

    Regular shift documentation in an Electronic Medical Record.

    • Passing medications
    • Admissions, Discharges
    • Attend rounds representing information to share with the team
    -1:1 connection with assigned patients

    • Patient/Family education
    • Perform nursing interventions for chronic and acute mental health diagnoses with applicable documentation in EMR
    TCI Training preferred.
    Previous Charge experience is a plus.


    Please note:

    • RTO requests must be presented at time of submission or will not be honored.
    • 5 days max can be requested
    • No block scheduling request, unless it s for weekends only (FRI-SUN)
    All candidates must be FULLY VACCINATED. No exceptions. Includes COVID. No declinations or religions/medical exemptions allowed.

    Any previous CCHMC employees are not eligible for contract positions for a period of 1 year from term date.


    Valid compact licenses accepted for January 2023 & beyond starts. (OH, to become part of the compact January 1, 2023).
