    Gallery Media Group is a modern day media company with an overall mission to 'Make Positivity Louder.' GMG focuses efforts on where consumer attention currently lies and continues to shift.

    Gallery Media Group includes women's lifestyle brand PureWow and a collection of social-first media brands, such as @cocktails, @moms, @recipes and @ballplayers on Instagram and TikTok that reach over 200M consumers. Additionally, GMG has an expansive experiential arm rooted in Gallery Houses—a fusion of social content, creators and cultural moments at scale—as well as a robust influencer marketing business.

    The company was founded in 2010 by CEO, Ryan Harwood and is now part of VaynerX, the Gary Vaynerchuk-owned holding company.
    GMG is seeking a full-time assistant editor to join our team of branded content writers and editors. This candidate will focus on the execution of revenue-driving content—writing articles, product reviews and social asset copy that will resonate with specific GMG audiences while meeting advertiser goals.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong writing background and a solid grasp of the editorial voice among GMG's brands. They will also show a deep interest in lifestyle content, with a finger on the pulse of what's trending in culture.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist with the execution of branded content campaigns. This may include:

    • Writing branded content assignments from long-form articles and product reviews to social assets, ensuring that the KPIs are met
    • Input content into WordPress and basic image resizing in Photoshop
    • Communicate with internal teams to keep content timelines on track and ensure high standards of quality
    • Address client feedback and dictate responses when necessary
    • Participate in internal campaign kick-offs and RFP brainstorms when necessary
    • Use trends, tools, data and metrics to inform and guide concepts and content creation
    • Optimize content for distribution across all social channels and SEO

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • 2+ years of previous experience in an editorial, branded content or copywriting role
    • Excellent writing and communication skills
    • Keen attention to detail with a focus on applying edits and feedback
    • Ability to pivot quickly between the tone and voice of different GMG brands
    • Desire to learn and attitude that no task is too small
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to juggle multiple campaigns at once
    • Proficiency working with content management systems (Monday and Basecamp), a plus
    • A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong interpersonal skills—you should be able to communicate across teams to find solutions and opportunities whenever possible

    In 3 Months You Will...

    • Be proficient at writing branded content across a variety of verticals and platforms in the GMG voice
    • Collaborate openly to create high standards of finished work in a timely manner
    • Work closely with the brand strategy, client services and design teams to produce successful campaigns that succeed client KPIs
    • Be proficient in our internal CMS system, Photoshop and our branded content workflow

    Location: New York (hybrid)
