If so, we have a great opportunity for you The IT Branch of the Employment Development Department is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and analytical Application Development Supervisor to collaborate directly with management, technical architects, engineers, and associate service roles in the Product Development Division, other Information Technology Branch (ITB) divisions, the Information Security Office, Enterprise IT, and customers, in support of the organization's client-server, multi-tier infrastructure.

    Under the general direction of the IT Manager I in the ITB, the incumbent provides supervision and leadership to a large group of IT support staff assigned to develop and maintain systems, applications, and related databases for the Department's business customers statewide. The incumbent plans and directs current and future development activities and provides project leadership for the initiation, development, and implementation of complex applications for information technology systems solutions.

    The ideal supervisor candidate will have experience in server administration, application service health and monitoring, end-user support, application deployment, and coordinating regular system maintenance. The position supervises technical staff that provide second and third-tier operational support for services for which the organization is responsible.

    Background Investigation Requirement
