    T he IT Support Specialist


    provides technical assistance and support for requests and incidents with client computing devices including desktop PCs, laptops, mobile devices, telephony devices, and peripherals.

    This position requires the ability to provide a response both in person and by email or phone to employees in remote offices or jobsites.

    The

    IT Support Specialist

    is responsible for various functions including, but not limited to

    :


    Serve as first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in person for support on computing needs including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other client-side computing needs.

    Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by the caller.

    Manage ticket queue.

    Logging all requests in the ticketing system. This includes initial description of the request, work logs, and resolution.

    Perform troubleshooting in person or remote through diagnostic technique.

    Ability to research, troubleshoot, and problem solve technical issues.

    Maintain IT Inventory.

    Image new computers and train employees on basic usage.

    Install and set up computers, software, and other components/peripherals.

    When necessary, liaise with third party support and PC equipment vendors.

    Actively coordinate with IT team members to effectively resolve complex incidents and requests.

    Participate in IT department projects (infrastructure/hardware upgrades, software upgrades, and migrations).

    Serve in an on-call rotation.

    Other duties as assigned.
    Aptitude/Abilities/Skills:

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    1year(s) of experience in a technical support or related IT field providing direct support to employees or customers.

    Great troubleshooting skills and ability to triage complex issues.

    Experience deploying OS images and software in an enterprise environment preferred.

    Strong analytical skills.

    Have experience with:

    Windows 10.
    Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    Standard client computing hardware (laptops, desktops, copiers/printers, phones).
    Mobile devices (iOS and Android). Experience with a mobile device management system a plus.
    Working within a ticketing system.

    Familiar with account and group management in Active Directory and Office 365.

    Good communication (written and verbal) skills. Ability to create end-user facing guides and documentation.


    Willing and able to work occasional holidays, weekends and evenings, as well as periodically travel to other offices and job sites.
