Elizabeth is an insightful educator and Organization Development Consultant who has spent the last two decades building equitable, just, inclusive, sustainable communities. She combines the art of teaching & facilitation with the science of human behavior & psychology to uplift and create positive and sustainable change. Her use of instructional design, leadership & learning development complement her change management and organization development skills.

Her extensive portfolio includes experience with such things as having difficult conversations, inclusion, racial consciousness, team accountability, personal development, building cultural competence, theory of change, adaptive leadership, and conflict resolution amongst many others. In addition, on a systems level, she helps leaders improve other human systems with such things as talent acquisition, engagement, learning & development processes. Combined with global experience in systems design, and change management, Elizabeth is sure to help you and your organization transform.

Her second master’s thesis research focuses on how educational employees make and maintain meaning in their work. Applicable to many industries, Elizabeth integrates her research in helping organizations offer employees purpose & meaning; which are highly needed and sought after areas of expertise in this rapidly volatile and evolving times.

Elizabeth holds a B.A. in English & Education from Michigan State University, an M.A. in Deaf Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College and an M.S. in Organization Development (MSOD) from the Graziadio Business School at Pepperdine University.

Washtenaw Intermediate School District (WISD) |2010 - 2021

Teacher Consultant and District Leader

  • Provided county-wide educational consulting services for children aged 3-26 to 6 public school districts, private schools, Washtenaw Educational Opportunities Consortium, charters, community colleges, and Washtenaw Youth Detention Center. Provided expertise in deaf education, ensuring equal access to the curriculum.
  • Taught in a self-contained classroom for non-verbal, severely-multiply impaired young adults. 
  • Collaborated with executive administration to strategize and implement practices and policies fostering an equitable, inclusive, and socially-just culture (EISJ). 
  • Drove team development efforts district-wide, working with executive administration to strengthen teams.
  • Advised and consulted with the local District Support Team on building educator capacity and interventions.
  • Co-led Curriculum & Instruction initiative, supporting educators to continuously improve instructional practices.  
  • Adaptive Leadership Network to enhance leader capacity in navigating complex change and continuous improvement. 
  • Designed, developed & facilitated professional learning sessions including: 
    • Cross-cultural Communication, Navigating Difficult Conversations, Team and Community Building, Feedback, Psychological Safety and Trust, Growth Mindset, Goal Setting.

  • Led change management and organizational transformation for NASA’s WCS, developing strategies, implementing new management processes, and fostering alignment to drive high performance and seamless connectivity for national team.

  • Developed and delivered comprehensive consultant training on Advanced Facilitation.
