    Job Description and Duties

    We're on the lookout for candidates to join the Secretary of State, Fiscal Affairs Division team in downtown Sacramento. In this role, you'll be responsible for handling intricate Federal and System tasks, ensuring compliance with various regulations. Here's a quick overview of what you'll be doing:

    • Review, analyze, and validate expenditure postings for federal grants
    • Manage federal grant balances and cash reconciliation
    • Prepare Department recovers overhead costs from the federal government
    • Maintain fiscal management of federal grants
    • Prepare and submit Federal Financial Reports
    • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and the Single Audit
    • Coordinate with various stakeholders on fiscal management matters
    • Support decision-making on Federal accounting objectives
    • Establish and maintain FI$Cal Chart of Accounts and financial transactions
    • Assist in year-end closing and new year start-up schedules
    • Perform monthly financial activities and related reconciliations
    • Serve as FI$Cal support for various functions
