- Manage the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial screenings.
- Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates to schedule interviews and provide relevant information as needed.
- Conduct new hire orientations and facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to the fostering of a positive and inclusive work environment through employee engagement initiatives and serving on DEIB committee.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both electronically and in physical files.
- Prepare and distribute HR-related documents, including employment offer letters.
- ADP Workforce Now - maintain HRIS system and Time Management System
- Work closely with Finance Department regarding employee payroll actions
- Support benefits administration by assisting employees with enrollment, changes, and inquiries related to health, dental, retirement, and other benefits.
- Assist in the annual compensation review process by gathering data and preparing relevant reports.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in the performance management review process via ADP Workforce Now by tracking performance reviews and providing support to managers.
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and necessary paperwork.
- Manage the return of company property
- Contribute to HR-related projects and initiatives aimed at improving overall HR processes and the employee experience.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a HR generalist capacity.
- Understanding of HR principles, best practices, and legal regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus. Microsoft Office Suite experience is required.
- Detail-oriented and accurate with exceptional organizational skills, able to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated.
- Experience in non-profit setting preferred.

The House provides a wide range of programs and services designed to enhance the quality of life for all residents of the Two Bridges/Chinatown area and throughout New York City's five boroughs, including childcare, youth development, senior services, behavioral health, and immigrant and community services. Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the HR Generalist will support the Director of Human Resources in managing the day-to-day human resource operations. The position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our human resources functions and is committed to maintaining a positive and productive work environment for staff.
