Attorney Peter Palivos Donates Christmas Toys To C3 Church
This past Christmas, a local church in Las Vegas was able to bring joy to hundreds of children. On December 23rd, 2019, The C3 Church in Las Vegas was able to allow over 1,000 children to handpick a Christmas gift, and it’s all thanks to local business leader and attorney Peter Palivos as well as other members of the community. Many of C3 Church’s parishioners are less fortunate than others in the community and because of this struggle to afford gifts for their children and loved ones. The pastor of C3 Church, Mario Rodríguez, said that 2018, in particular, was a rough year for many of the members of the church, and a lot of them couldn’t afford presents. The church tries to give at least one toy to every child, and Pastor Rodríguez believes it makes a large difference in the community. Many parents were grateful for this opportunity to see a smile on their child’s face, pointing out how wonderful it is that so many individuals are able to work together for the children to give them the Christmas they deserve.
Located on the east side of the valley, a large amount of C3 churchgoers survive on minimum wage and must rely on government assistance in order to get by. In fact, there are many who don’t have any income at all. Beyond the gifts that were given this past Christmas, C3 also tries to feed over 1000 families in need each month. Many programs are also offered at the church, such as volunteer programs, programs for the parishioners to connect with one another, as well as groups for youth and young children that are aimed toward building a better community.
Many Las Vegas city and business leaders, as well as police officers, were present to help spread the holiday cheer, including Governor-elect Sisolak, U.S. Representative Horsford and U.S. Representative Kihuen. For many of the leaders present, including those who donated such as businessman and attorney Peter Palivos, being able to bring joy to these children’s hearts was the greatest gift they could have asked for this holiday season. “The joy of Christmas. This is a special time for children and being able to fulfill Pastor Mario’s goal of giving over 1000 toys to the needy children of our community is a great blessing and brings great joy to me and my family”, said Peter Palivos.
