    Construction Accountant - Located in Annapolis, MD

    About the Company and Overview of the Construction Accountant Role:

    • CFS is partnering with a commercial construction client in Annapolis, MD. Due to growth, they are hiring a Construction Accountant to work in their office in Annapolis, MD. This person will work with a very small team and work on construction and project accounting and management work
    • This position will begin in immediately after an interview on a contract basis and can become permanent for the right candidate
    • Schedule: 100% in office in Annapolis, MD
      • Hours are flexible (7:30am-4pm or 8am-4:30pm) Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. May have an opportunity for work from home on Fridays
    Job Responsibilities of the Construction Accountant:
    • Perform a variety of accounting duties including AP, AR, Billing, Job Cost, General Ledger, etc.
    • Work with Project Managers and Subcontractors and assist in managing subcontractor change orders
    • Reconcile project budgets with projected cost with accounting team
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Preparation of AIA billings
    • Maintain log for Subcontractor W9's and COI

    Qualifications for the Construction Accountant:

    • 4+ years' construction accounting experience
      • Knowledge of construction project management and cost control principles
    • Degree is a plus, but NOT required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    • Experience using Procore and/or Sage Timberline a big plus
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
