- Manage and cultivate sales within an assigned territory in the Texas region.
- Propel sales growth in our custom automation and robotics offerings.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive annual territory plan to target key sales opportunities.
- Lead efforts in acquiring new customers across various industries, including Power & Energy, Consumables & CPG, Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Med Device, Life Sciences, and General Manufacturing and Industrial sectors.
- Conduct on-site automation audits at prospective manufacturing facilities to uncover new business prospects.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting to inform leadership decisions and guide territory growth strategies.
- Oversee and nurture a complex sales pipeline to ensure timely closure of deals.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations to both prospective and existing clients, promoting our product lines effectively.
- Manage expenses within the allocated budget to optimize profitability in the territory.
- Leverage CRM tools like SalesForce for prospecting, developing, and closing new business on a regular basis.
- Support fellow sales associates and engage with internal stakeholders to drive synergy across the organization.
- Assist in estimating delivery timelines based on internal workload schedules.
- Generate required reports and analyses promptly, including CRM activities and trip reports.
- Offer strategic guidance in quote preparation to support purchasing and engineering teams.
- Provide training and mentorship to new members of the Sales Force.
- Travel as needed to support training sessions, field service activities, or participate in trade shows.
- Bachelor's Degree (REQUIRED), Master's Degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Technical Sales or similar complex sales roles.
- Minimum of three years of Outside Sales Experience (REQUIRED).
- Experience in the Custom Automation & Robotics industry (REQUIRED).
- Strong sales forecasting skills.
- Willingness to travel 50%-75% of the time.
- Experience with project sizes ranging from $500k to $3M.
- Professional demeanor with a positive outlook.
- Openness to assume a sales leadership role within 12-18 months.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate insights into sales strategies.
- Customer-focused mindset with adept problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in planning, prioritizing, and setting clear goals.
