- Lead, develop and manage airport professionals in the areas of Property Development, Rental Cars, Advertising, Airline Affairs.
- Collaborate with other Vice Presidents in the Revenue Division to ensure a shared vision.
- Challenge the status quo and bring forth new and innovative ideas to support the areas of leadership.
- Provide leadership within the Commercial Management and Marketing Division ("CMMD") and the Authority to ensure performance standards and positive results.
- Improve and maintain inter-departmental communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
- In conjunction with the SVP & Chief Revenue Officer, strategically assist in real estate related activities and initiatives.
- Lead and assist in the development and implementation of real estate related programs and projects.
- Identify and capitalize on short and long-term real estate property revenue generation opportunities.
- Provide strong tenant property management though direct supervision and guidance.
- Develop, negotiate, and close complex real estate property development and land transactions as well as other associated significant revenue generating contracts.
- Oversee, in a supervisory capacity, responsibilities of the rental cars, advertising, property management, and airline affairs team members.
- Performs additional related work as required.
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following: business/business administration, economics, finance, public administration or related field OR comparative years of work experience
- Master's degree in business or related field.
- 8 or more years of experience in leading diverse disciplines of professionals in a revenue driven capacity.
- 12 or more years of experience in leading diverse disciplines of professionals in a revenue driven capacity.
- Experience in an airport or large complex commercial operations environment.
- Project management skills with demonstrated performance delivering projects on schedule and on budget.
- Industry trends, best practices, and key business drivers in the development of real estate/property activities
- Real estate and property revenue development with a focus on providing a high level of guest service and innovative solutions.
- Tenant relations and property management.
- Interpersonal communication with the ability to lead, develop and direct cohesive and effective teams.
- Managing and a capability to analyze business problems or situations and diagnose business strengths and weaknesses and identify key issues.

- Preparing and presenting reports to executive staff and Authority staff relating to areas of responsibilities.
- Manage direct policies and activities related to commercial land development and property management of facilities.
- Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with members of the Authority, team members, tenants, and other business-related contacts/entities.
- Clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, information pertaining to the real estate activities of the Authority

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Vice President of Commercial Management is responsible for leading a group of airport professionals in the areas of Property Development, Rental Cars, Advertising, Airline Affairs, and other functional areas may transition when appropriate. Working with the SVP & Chief Revenue Officer to develop and implement short and long-term strategies to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience in accordance with the Raleigh Durham Airport Authority's strategic business plan. This role will assist in directing strategic and business initiatives to grow revenue related to commercial properties, real estate development, FBOs, cargo activities and participate in tenant property management. The VP will play a critical team role in defining and implementing initiatives for profitable and sustainable real estate development, related business performance and revenue growth. The role will provide leadership, guidance and inspire a collaborative and collegial culture that is high performing and results focused.
