    Description

    The Vice President of ETS Operations is in charge of leading the CAMS ETS operations team and is ultimately responsible for all the accomplishments and setbacks of the team.

    This role reports to the Executive Vice President of CAMS ETS.
    Primary Responsibilities
    - Supervising the BESS, solar, and wind operations leadership team.
    - Acting as the main ETS Operations Leader, offering guidance, mentoring, and support when necessary to the team.
    - Reporting progress to the ETS EVP and CAMS COO.

    Working closely with various ETS functional heads (Director BESS, Director Solar, etc.) to tackle complex problems and foster a united team across the ETS organization.

    Operations

    - Manpower forecasting and planning.
    - Overseeing operations concerning safety, performance, regulations, financials, and reporting.
    - Assisting in resource prioritization.

    Safety

    - Cultivating a safety-oriented culture within the operations team.
    - Ensuring safety training and adherence to regulations.
    - Reviewing and approving safety manual procedures.

    Reviewing ETS operations financials, conducting variance analysis.
    - Identifying opportunities to enhance margins.
    - Inspecting annual budgets.
    - Approving payment of invoices for ETS.
    - Greenlighting expense reports for direct reports.
    Business Development

    - Evaluating, revising, and approving RFPs from CAMS BD team.
    - Participating in discussions with potential and current clients regarding new RFPs.
    - Aiding in contract negotiation and development, leading the operations charge.

    Customer Relations

    - Monitoring and overseeing customer relations.
    - Serving as a point of contact for customers in case of major issues.

    Compliance

    - Ensuring Operations complies with safety, environmental, and NERC/ERCOT rules.

    Human resources

    - Endorsing training programs for ETS operations.
    - Approving time off requests for direct reports.
    - Conducting informal biannual performance evaluations and yearly assessments with direct reports.
    - Reviewing and monitoring direct report goals.
    - Overseeing the annual compensation process for the team.
    - Recruiting new management staff.
    - Assisting in the onboarding process of new management staff.
    - Vetting key hires by direct reports.
    - Developing staff for career advancement.
    - Hiring management personnel.

    Requirements

    - Bachelor's Degree required.
    - Minimum 5 years' experience in wind turbine operations.
    - Familiarity with wind turbine industry operations, safety protocols, and government criteria.
    - Preferred knowledge of BESS and solar operations.
    - Prior experience in leading operations safety.
    - Managing an operations team across different locations.
    - Understanding of budgeting procedures and financial analysis.
    - Background in drafting business proposals.
    - General understanding of operational compliance – EHS, NERC, ISO.
    - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    - Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
    - Proficient in documentation management.
    - Intermediate to advanced computer software proficiency.
    - Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
