    Scope:


    The Vice President of Development will be at the forefront of our mission to revolutionize truck stops through renewable energy.

    We are seeking a dynamic leader with a proven track record in development, construction, and project management. This role will be crucial in building and maintaining our sustainable truck stop vision.

    Responsibilities:
    Lead the planning and execution of development projects from conception to completion.
    Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    Manage multiple teams including real-estate, legal, engineering, construction, and maintenance teams.
    Identify and evaluate potential sites for new truck stop developments.
    Conduct thorough due diligence, considering regulatory, environmental, and logistical factors.
    Collaborate with the executive team to integrate renewable energy solutions into truck stop designs.

    Meet KPIs including:
    Delivering projects on-time, on-budget, and meeting targeted site goals.
    Must be able to understand and assist in the building of site/construction management systems.
    Negotiate contracts with architects, contractors, and other vendors.
    Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial efficiency.
    Stay abreast of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction and development.
    Provide regular updates to the executive team on the progress of development projects.
    Identify potential risks associated with development projects and implement risk mitigation strategies.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
    10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in construction, development, and/or real estate.
    Understanding of and experience with all parts of site development in the Truck Stop, Convenience Store, or Trucking industry.
    Experience in the Truck Stop, Trucking, or Renewable Energy industries.
    Experience in a hands-on leadership role.
    High degree of flexibility and the ability to maneuver the organization in its mezzanine development period.
    Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
    Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management, and renewable energy integration.
    Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
    Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable construction practices.
