- Plan, execute, and manage water and wastewater heavy civil construction projects in compliance with project specifications, budgetary constraints, and timelines.
- Develop detailed project schedules and work plans, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to project milestones.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Oversee project budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring their performance meets project requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Identify and manage potential risks and issues, developing effective mitigation strategies to avoid project delays and cost overruns.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and other project-related records.
- Foster positive and collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to facilitate effective communication and successful project outcomes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including project engineers, field staff, and support personnel, ensuring clear communication and a cohesive work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in water and wastewater heavy civil construction projects.
- Familiarity with construction methodologies, industry regulations, and best practices in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and maintain productive working relationships.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations related to water and wastewater construction projects.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges in construction projects.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are a plus.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites within Texas.
