About the Job-

The Project Manager oversees and directs all phases of a construction project. This position will design and implement project plans; communicate concerns regarding project cost, staffing, and scheduling directly with contractors/designers; prepare project status reports and work to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications. This is a full time position located in office at 8868 Research Blvd Ste 410 Austin, TX

What You Will Do-

Manage, plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to meet deadlines.
Prepare and submit proposal estimates, budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, environmental regulations, or other regulations.
Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction/maintenance of structures, facilities, and/or systems.
Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.
Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
Develop and implement quality control programs and environmental protection programs.
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including the administrative staff, workers, and clients.
Perform, or contract others to perform, pre-building assessments, such as conceptual cost estimating, rough order or magnitude estimating, feasibility, or energy efficiency, environmental, and sustainability assessments.
Apply for and obtain all necessary permits or licenses.
Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, using computer models.
Supervise construction related workers.
Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
Other duties as necessary.

What You Bring To The Table-

High School diploma or general education degree required.
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent field preferred.
Experience in mechanical engineering or civil engineering.
Experience in K-12 Construction or Job Order Contracting. Both is a plus
Experience in project management required.
Proven leadership skills
Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
Proficient computer skills
