    Job DescriptionOverview:

    We are a fast-growing North American office of an Italian machinery builder.


    This newly-created position will be fully responsible for all logistics operations including inventory maintenance, shipment of products to our customer base, and receiving products from our vendors.


    Responsibilities:

    • Maintenance and control of parts inventory, including spot audits to ensure accuracy, and use of internal bar code system for parts monitoring.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
    • Ensure that inventory transactions are accurately recorded, and create reports for management on inventory levels, sales trends, parts availability issues, and other relevant indicators.
    • Work closely with the Service team to identify any inventory issues and propose and implement appropriate solutions.
    • Monitor stock levels, product availability and order fulfillment.
    • Manage service van inventory levels by cataloging parts used and restocking parts as needed.
    • Receiving of goods from local vendors and principal suppliers (Italian), processing for accuracy of shipment and accepting into inventory.
    • Shipment of spare parts to our customer base, drawing from inventory.
    • Create shipping documents such as bills of lading, shippers, packing slips, pick lists, labels, etc
    • Contact shipping and trucking companies as needed and set up and coordinate couriers.
    • Plant maintenance including shop floor, shipping bays, etc.
    • Load, unload, move, or store items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions.
    • Operate a forklift and hand truck. Certification a plus.
    • Wearing personal protection equipment (PPE), including steel toe shoes.

    Qualifications:

    • Must have good computer skills.
    • Knowledge and experience of Inventory, MRP, Excel and/or Quickbooks a plus.
    • Two years' minimum experience working in a warehouse / shipping department.
    • Experience with a large e-retailer such as Amazon a big plus.
    • Detailed understanding of basic math functions and calculations
    • Possess warehouse problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Good time management and organizational skills
    • Knowledge of accounting principals and practices related to inventory / shipping.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced studies in logistics a plus.
    • Driver's license with ability to be insured to drive company vehicles.
    • Ability to dependably maintain working hours.
    • Able to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
    • Able to stand on one's feet during working hours.
    • Able to consistently / repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Have established communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
    • Pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, motor vehicle record required.
    • Ability to be employed by a US company.
