    Purchasing Admin - Columbia, United States - Level One Personnel

    Description
    Title: Purchasing Administrator
    Location: Columbia, MD (onsite)
    Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00 am. - 5:00 pm.) 37.5hours per week
    Pay: $ /hour
    Type/Duration: Temp, 6-months

    Summary: Coordinate with every department to determine what they need in terms of supplies, equipment, and raw materials. Research vendors to get the best price, submit purchase orders to their distribution center, and handle the invoicing process.
    • Monitoring suppliers by creating and updating the corresponding database.
    • Review purchase order acknowledgements from suppliers and raise and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Assist the team as needed with administration duties.
    • Administrative by handling purchase orders, stock, and delivery tracking.
    • May conduct research, negotiate with vendors, and interview prospective suppliers.
    • Chase up outstanding purchase orders and confirm due dates with suppliers via telephone and email. Checking for negative effects on sales orders and updating system as required.
    • Expedite repairs/returns for faulty or damaged goods.
    Requirements:
    • Moderate to Strong Abilities with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Email Management
    • Excellent Organization Skills.
    • Previous experience with Purchasing, Inventory Management, or Customer Service is strongly preferred, but not necessarily required.
    • Great communications skills, written and verbal.
    • High attention to detail, ability to multitask
