Are you ready to make a bigger impact? At AstraZeneca, we're seeking a Communications Admin Coordinator to join our Oncology Corporate Affairs team in Gaithersburg, MD.

Accountabilities:


As a Communications Admin Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing complex executive calendars, handling multi-location domestic and international travel arrangements, and producing accurately formatted documents and reports.

You'll also be tasked with preparing meeting agendas, presentation materials, and minutes, as well as drafting or substantially editing materials or correspondence.

Your role will also involve project support, planning and logistics for various internal and external meetings and events, and providing budget management and purchase order support within AstraZeneca systems.


Essential Skills/Experience:


  • H.S. diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience to include a mix of administration and communication experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and competency with virtual technologies (e.g., MS teams, Zoom)
  • Keen interest in communications and desire to learn
  • Exemplary written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to interact expertly with executives and employees at all levels
  • Excellent team working, networking and influencing skills
  • Ability to think creatively, beyond boundaries of own job, challenges the status quo and seeks opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Flexible to adapt to constantly evolving needs and deadlines and ability to prioritize time critical assignments
  • Ability to work in a global environment including understanding of cultural differences.
  • Experience with effectively multitasking in a fastpaced environment while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to demonstrate tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives.

Desirable Skills/Experience:


  • Experience of providing administrative support in a global corporate environment across multiple time zones
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology firm
