    The IT Manager - MA&D Group is responsible for understanding and managing all aspects of Information Technology for the Group, that is comprised of five business units operating in seven physical locations (eastern U.S. and the UK). This position reports directly to the VP Finance, MA&D, and requires regular interface with all functional areas throughout the organization (senior leadership, human resources, operations, engineering, finance).

    Essential Duties:

    • Provide the vision and leadership in the planning, developing, and implementation of a group-wide information technology systems strategy.
    • Lead execution of the MA&D Group's ERP consolidation strategy onto the Axiom for metals ERP platform.
    • Work with the Marmon Electrical Group's VP IT, MA&D management, and local business unit teams to support, streamline, document, and improve existing and new processes.
    • Develop and maintain close relationships between the business units and IT.
    • Provide current documentation and training to all users on existing system functionality and newly developed enhancements.
    • Provide technical support for current ERPs and other systems.
    • Ensure compliance with all corporate cybersecurity initiatives and lead cybersecurity strategy across the group.
    • Perform new installations, upgrades, and maintenance on all systems.
    • Responsible for managing the overall IT department budget across the business units.
    • Manage the activities of the IT staff, which includes managing 3rd party service providers.
    These are the general duties required to fulfill the IT Manager-MA&D Group position, not a detailed description of all the work required. New duties and responsibilities may be required to meet the changing demands of the business to include implementation of IT initiatives from Marmon Holdings, Inc.

    Education and Experience Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; alternatively, five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience working with Progress, SQL, and other database systems.
    • Experience in ERP and other business systems.
    Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
    • Strong manufacturing systems experience and background. Wire & Cable industry experience preferred.
    • Experience in Unix, Linux, and Windows environments.
    • Experience in Cisco data, voice systems and IOS.
    • Experience in installing and maintaining Microsoft and Linux Servers.
    • Experience in Microsoft Office integration/Microsoft Exchange administration.
    • Experience in VMWare architecture.
    • Experience in the role of Project Manager and Systems Analyst.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills required.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position sitting, talking, looking at a computer, charts/graphs and performing repetitive motions.
    • Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25lbs.
    • Ability to collaborate with manufacturing team members as needed in an environment that can be noisy.
    • Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite.
    Physical Requirements:

    Able to sit for extended periods of time.

    Able to hear ordinary conversations and phone communications.

    Environmental Conditions:

    Air-conditioned and/or heated office setting, if available.

    Alternatively, remote work with periodic travel to business units required (up to 25% under normal circumstances).
