- Execute a significant volume of club and student organization transactions, including: procurement card transactions, invoice payment forms, deposits, petty cash, purchase orders, internal chargebacks, journal entries, and travel. Maintains current club and organization financial documents reflecting each transaction.
- Facilitate meetings with students (walk-ins and appointments) to complete financial transactions, answer questions, assist with planning of events/travel, and provide financial training and counsel related to appropriate utilization of club and University funds.
- Oversee administration functions that include:
- Administer RIT procurement cards used by student organizations, including sign in/out procedures, collecting required documentation, allocating expenses via the bank website, and post accurate expenditure amount in each club's spreadsheet.
- Review club and student organization event registrations annually, and verify availability of funds. Respond accordingly with account numbers or other information.
- Monthly, print Oracle statements, reconcile department/club accounts and prepare statements for Procurement cards
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Two years of full-time professional and progressive experience for financial operations.
- Competence using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and electronic calendaring software, as well as other office technologies
- Experience using technology and systems to support administrative, operation and program functions
- Ability to manage confidential information and records.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to work well with internal and external constituent groups.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups and individuals
- Ability to exercise judgment and independent initiative; handle time sensitive matters that require concise problem solving, and manage confidential and/or sensitive information.
- ASL or willingness to develop competency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, Kronos, Xerox copier/scanner/fax machine, and 10 key printing calculator.
- Significant work experience and demonstrated success engaging college-age students
- Competence in American Sign Language.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Director, Campus Life Finance, this position facilitates comprehensive financial administration and oversight for Campus Life-recognized clubs and student organizations accounts.
Responsibilities include processing procurement card transactions, invoice payment forms, deposits, petty cash, purchase orders, internal chargebacks, journal entries, and various types of travel transactions, as well as maintaining current club financial documents.
Serves as a resource by educating and counseling students about financial processes, procurement, budgeting, and financial planning related to event and programs.
Provides training on various financial functions, and develops training and resource materials for student clubs and organizations. Develops and implements procedures based on policies and processes. Ensures compliance with internal controls, and policies and procedures.Reviews student organization event registration notices, verifies availability of funds, and responds timely with account numbers and other necessary related information.
