    Description
    SIG aims to profitably grow to double its current size in the next 5-7 years. To enable that growth SIG is investing in building out the SIG Performance System (SPS). SPS governs and answers the question as to how SIG works and grows.

    It is as compelling, influential, and central to SIG's success, as TPS is to Toyota, DBS is to Danaher, HOS is to Honeywell, TSS is to Textron, CPS is to Caterpillar, JDPS is to John Deere, etc.

    SIG Performance System's scope includes Management Systems, Work Systems, and Improvement Systems. It is principles-based and delivers performance through a better each day mindset. It aligns our Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategy to create value.
    The Director, SIG Performance System, will Architect, Engineer and Champion the SPS.
    The ideal candidate for this position is a changemaker. They can lead an enterprise transformation. They can coach employees on the shopfloor, and in the back office. They can educate, motivate, and inspire the C-suite. They can identify and deploy strategic initiatives. And they are passionate about applying scientific thinking to identify better ways of working.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:
    Lead and champion the deployment of the SPS.
    Identify strategic needs and sponsors strategic initiatives to achieve business goals.
    Be an excellent individual contributor and valued team member.
    Work closely with company and business leadership to execute large, cross-business/functional strategic priorities. Coaches project and program teams.
    Provides support to develop SPS expertise and capability within the organization at all levels.
    Improve the decision-making model and problem-solving capabilities within high performance teams to increase the autonomy and speed of change.

    Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), in partnership with the VP of CI, to measure the operational performance and improvement of the Management Systems, Improvement Systems, and Work Systems.

    Drives culture change in support of SPS.
    Designs and implements the systems and tools needed to achieve SIGs vision.
    Performs Gemba walks and organizational assessments.

    Education/Experience & Skills:
    Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, operations, or business
    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence leadership and all organization levels.
    A Lean / Continuous Improvement, Toyota Production System Practitioner with 7+ years' experience and a 'hands-on' track record of implementing successful Toyota Production System / lean fundamentals including elements such as:
    Visual management/5S, value stream mapping, standard work, metric boards, stand-up meetings and project funnel coordination
    Expertise in problem-solving utilizing a formal program/process.
    A holistic thinker who can look enterprise-wide to integrate and streamline systems.

    Able to drive strategic thinking and continuous improvement in both non-operational and operational areas, including cross-functional resources to improve extended value streams.

    Passion for driving improvement and leading change in a complex, global environment.
    Proven track record for developing, training, and coaching teams.
    Great communicator, including solid written, oral and presentation-giving skills.
    Broad knowledge of multi-functional processes and financial business methods
    High ethical standards to support a professional business code of conduct.
    Leadership roles from disciplines such as operations, engineering, quality, or product management
    Broad knowledge of multi-functional, multi-site, global organizational processes, and financial business methods (SIOP, Customer Connections, Strategic Sourcing, etc.)

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Demonstrated skill and confidence in proactively building relationships with top tier partners/leaders both internally and externally.
    Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing comprehensive continuous improvement approaches/methodologies to advance an organization's strategy and goals.

    Great communicator, demonstrated ability in solid written, oral, and presentation-giving skills.

    Working Conditions:
    Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
    Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
