JOB SUMMARY


The Sales Representative builds and maintains a strong relationship with customers, is familiar with the target market and can identify and qualify new sales leads.


_ PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES_

  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their equipment needs; identifies and suggests products and equipment to meet those needs.
  • Demonstrates the functions of equipment and products to customers based on their needs.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise postsale.
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Provides periodic target account sales forecasts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Requires being on the road traveling full time.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND/OR SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Trade show support as needed.
  • Develop internal and external processes to standardize demo and rental activity.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to track inventory return on investment.
  • Support new business system implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES

  • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Communicates with customers to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
  • Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise postsale.
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Provides periodic sales forecasts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with customers, sales representatives, fellow employees, and management including interaction with other company branches.

WORKING CONDITIONS


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time traveling their territory to meet with prospective customers in person.
