    Position Overview:


    The Senior GL Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the company's general ledger activities, with a strong emphasis on accruals.

    This position requires a meticulous individual who possesses deep expertise in accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex financial scenarios.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Accruals Management:
    Lead and manage the accruals process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
    Analyze financial data to identify and record accruals accurately for expenses, revenues, and liabilities.
    Collaborate cross-functionally to gather necessary information and support for accrual calculations.


    General Ledger Maintenance:
    Oversee day-to-day general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
    Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger system.
    Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies, proposing corrective actions as needed.


    Financial Reporting:
    Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and accounting principles.
    Provide support during audits by preparing schedules, addressing inquiries, and ensuring audit readiness.


    Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities for process enhancements to streamline accruals management and general ledger operations.
    Implement best practices and efficiencies to optimize the accounting procedures.


    Collaboration and Communication:
    Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and facilitate information flow.
    Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
    3+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a focus on accruals management.
    Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
    Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Oracle is a plus.
    Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
    Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
