    Job Description

    The CFO in our Finance Department must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations.

    The CFO is a key member of the executive team and will oversee the financial strategy, planning, and forecasting for the company.

    The CFO must be an excellent leader since the administrative departments of the organization will be under their direction.

    They must have experience working in venture-backed companies and be able to navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with a rapidly growing organization.

    Requirements

    Industry Knowledge (IVD) : This candidate will need to have experience working with in vitro diagnostics which is typically used in the medical device field.


    Financial Strategy and Planning :

    The CFO will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and industry trends.

    This includes budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring financial stability amid growth.

    Leadership and Team Management :
    The CFO will oversee the finance team, implying strong leadership and team-building skills are essential. Experience in hiring, training, and mentoring financial personnel is highlighted.

    Risk Management and Compliance :

    Given the regulatory nature of the IVD industry, the CFO must have a strong understanding of financial risk management and compliance with industry standards and regulations.


    Stakeholder Engagement :

    The CFO will provide strategic financial analysis and guidance to the executive team and board of directors, necessitating excellent communication and presentation skills.


    External Relationships :

    Building and maintaining relationships with banking partners and other external stakeholders will be critical for financial operations and growth initiatives.


    Process Improvement :

    The CFO is expected to continuously improve financial systems and processes to support company growth, suggesting a need for innovation and efficiency.
