We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant with Home Health Care experience to join our fast-growing team in our Cape Coral office. The Human Resources Assistant will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions within our agency, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment for our employees.
Responsibilities:
Manage the full cycle of recruitment process, including posting job ads on various online platforms, actively seeking out qualified candidates to fill positions, screening resumes, and ensuring resumes are forwarded to the correct hiring manager.
Manage the full cycle of onboarding process, including I-9 verifications, E-Verify, processing all background checks, sending offer letters and required new hire paperwork to new hires, ensure all required personnel documentation and required medical documentation is correct and complete in the personnel file, entering initial new hire information and pay rates into Paychex payroll system, and coordinating with the Compliance Specialist to schedule first day orientation and education.
Manage benefits including enrollments, verify that all eligible employees are correct in the system and with carriers, terminations, and COBRA.
Ensure all HR documentation and processes are adhered to in order to maintain continuity and meet compliance standards.
Track clinician expiring documentation and licenses, send out notifications for upcoming expiring documents, and ensure updated documentation and licenses are received prior to (or by) the expiration date.
Assist staff with basic HR related questions and needs as the primary HR point-of-contact in relation to onboarding, Paychex or UZIO system questions or issues, benefits administration, handbook policy questions, and payroll questions.
Assist with various HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
Associate degree in human resources, or 2+ years of related experience. Bachelor's degree is a plus.
Proven experience working in Human Resources.
Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent recruiting skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
