    Project Administrator- Industrial

    Job Description and Qualifications
    J H Operating Company, LLC, an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management firm primarily supporting the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry, has an opening for a Project Administrator at its office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

    The Project Administrator will report to Karla Orth, VP of Engineering, and will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and project support to the Engineers and Project Managers helping ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and meet our high standards of quality.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an industrial office setting and be able to work well independently but also be flexible enough to be directed at times. Candidates should have exceptional communication skills, a commitment to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and a no-task-too-small approach to the work.

    The roles primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • One overarching goal: to make the Project Management and Engineering teams a more efficient and effective group by creating the capacity for them to focus on their more technical priorities.
    • Procurement assistance
    • Pre-Construction scheduling and document control.
    • Post-Construction project closeouts and document control.
    • Create and review pre-construction job books.
    • Assist the construction team with project execution and organization.
    • Assist with quality control documentation, invoice reviews, cost tracking, the creation of the job book, and client handover.
    • Execute special projects.
    • Understand and manage your personal performance to promote JH teamwork and culture while enhancing client satisfaction.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all JH and customer information.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required:

    • High School diploma with at least 5 years of relevant, progressive work experience.
    • 3+ years' experience in office setting
    • High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
    • Strong research and analytical skills
    • Willingness to enthusiastically complete both high-level and low-level tasks
    • Exemplary references
    • Ability to pass an in-depth drug screening.
    • Qualify for vehicle operator's license.

    Preferred:

    · Previous experience in an industrial office setting.
