    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide legal counsel on tax matters related to affordable housing and community development transactions.
    • Advise clients on compliance issues, complex structuring questions, and equity documents.
    • Render tax opinions primarily involving federal and state tax credits, including the low-income housing tax credit, New Markets Tax Credit, and historic rehabilitation tax credit.
    • Collaborate with partners and clients to develop tax-efficient strategies for real estate transactions.

    • LL.M. not required but may be beneficial.
