POSITION PURPOSE:
As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will work on-site to facilitate the delivery of oncology clinical research by providing a liaison function between physician, staff, patient, and clinical research study group, which requires skills in administration, clinical management, data management activities, and communication
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
+ Develops and maintains appropriate consent forms for research protocols, consistent with legal, institutional review board (IRB) and Department of Health and Human Services requirements. + Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures. + Ensures that there is documented IRB approval and ongoing annual review of all clinical research studies per federal guidelines. + Determines that pretreatment and eligibility requirements of the protocol have been met including informed consent prior to registration. + Performs case management of study subjects participating in clinical research studies. + Submits required data to research groups according to data submission schedule in the protocol. + Acts as a liaison between institutional investigators (physicians), Operations Offices and Statistical Centers as well as maintaining cooperative relationships with partnering surgical, medical, radiology, and pathology departments as well as other team members. + Prepares and participates in monitoring visits and clinical research study audits.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor's degree required (coursework in research or applied research methods preferred). + Certification with Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or CRPC (Clinical Research Professional Certification) with Society of Clinical Research Association (SOCRA) required or obtained within one year of eligible hours worked as defined by ACRP or SOCRA. + Experience in Physician Office Practice preferred. + Clinical research experience preferred.
