    JOB SUMMARY

    The Associate Brand Manager is a junior field sales position responsible for promoting sales, product familiarity, and client relationships with assigned salons and retail stores in a geographic territory, using product education, sell-in and sell-through strategies, business consultation, merchandising, promotions, and strong relationship management.

    The position will also be responsible for revenue goals for a defined segment of salons (in their assigned geographic area).

    In addition, in some circumstances, this position will have responsibilities for launching salons, selling new products, and executing sell-through strategies.

    Associate Brand Manager


    reports to the Vice President, Strategic Initiatives role, and will be led by the Manager of strategic Initiatives, on a day-to-day basis.

    The position will also synergistically work with the Brand Manager(s) and Regional Business Manager in their assigned geographic territories to identify opportunities and shared goals.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    Create a powerful, trusting relationship with salon owners, stylists, and employees.

    Work closely with the Manager, Strategic Initiatives, and Vice President, Strategic Initiatives to determine and support sell-in and sell-through strategies at a salon-by-salon level.

    Deliver the highest quality in-salon presentations and product classes.
    Launch new salons and retail accounts.
    Sell new products to existing salons.
    Achieve individual revenue goals by educating and consulting with the salon owners, managers, and stylists.
    Support retail segment sales through merchandising and promotional activity.
    Manage a systematic meeting schedule for assigned accounts.
    Execute strategic education plans for each salon in the territory of focus accounts.
    Promote, plan, coordinate, and assist in executing regional and national company-sponsored business development and educational events.
    Attend all company provided meetings and training
    Overnight travel up to 50%.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Associate degree, Cosmetology Certification, or three years of relevant salon, sales, or retail experience.
    Outside sales and salon industry experience preferred.
    Strong communication and presentation skills.
    High comfort level with public speaking.
    Strategic and analytical thinking.
    Service-oriented.
    Adaptable to working with and educating various personality types.
    Willingness to travel alone.

    Business Acumen:
    Some knowledge of business objectives, category, retail dynamics, competitors, and consumers.

    Data Analysis:
    Evaluates data to assess business implications and make sound recommendations.

    Presentation Skills:
    Confident in presenting to and educating groups of all types and sizes.

    Financial Knowledge:
    Working knowledge of industry math.

    Creative:
    Ability to stimulate collaboration internally and externally to develop creative solutions to problems.

    Conflict Management:
    Works with partners and internal teams to achieve sometimes conflicting or controversial objectives.

    Project and Time Management Skills:
    Able to manage multiple projects and refocus priorities as the business dictates in a timely manner.

    Computer Skills:
    Zoom, Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and general comfort with new programs.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Lifting:

    Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.


    Reaching:
    Extending hands and arms in any direction.

    Sitting:
    Must be able to remain in a seated, stationary position throughout the workday.
