    Worldwide Architectural Supplier Seeks Experienced Product Engineer I

    Salary Range:
    $80,000 - $90,000

    About the position:


    As a part of the daily duties, the Product Engineer processes and manages custom orders and provides technical assistance to Manufacturing and Technical Sales.

    This position also coordinates and optimizes manufacturing processes with regard to design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance.


    Product Engineer evaluates, develops, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality standards.

    The aim is to achieve the most efficient, cost-effective, high-quality production process.

    What will you be responsible for:


    • Process and Manage Custom Orders
    • Create and Prepare Job Packages and required manufacturing documentation
    • Assist with day-to-day production line matters
    • Provide technical expertise and support for Production and PGS (Product Group Sales)
    • Investigate operational problems affecting production
    • Assist with custom quote preparation
    • Assist with corrective action, ECNs, and ECRs
    • Assist NPD Engineers with New Product Development projects
    Requires knowledge in Engineering, Technologies and Systems, Manufacturing Process, CAD and ERP.

    Knowledge of machinery, tools and dies to find the "right tool for the job" to maximize efficiency.

    Has gained proficiency in processing complex custom orders,

    Has comprehensive product knowledge and can provide full technical support for specific Product Group.

    A few of the things we require:


    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
    • Proficiency with CAD (computer-assisted design) tools
    • Minimum 3 years' work experience in Manufacturing or Production Engineering
    • Manufacturing Process knowledge
    • ERP experience a plus
