    Job Title: Director of Production Engineering

    Reports to: Senior Director of Production Engineering

    Location: Los Angeles, San Diego, Palo Alto, California

    Status: Exempt, Full-time

    Summary of the Role

    We are in search of a Director of Production Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping SHEIN's production environment and driving operational excellence as we expand. The Production Engineering team focuses on ensuring the continuous availability of Production Services, aiming for top-notch reliability and performance. They are responsible for enhancing the platform's operability, minimizing incidents, and improving service quality for our customers.     Responsibilities

    • Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and foster innovation within the production engineering team.
    • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design and optimization of infrastructure to support e-commerce operations.
    • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize system performance for scalability and reliability.
    • Automation: Drive automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Incident Management: Develop robust incident management processes to minimize downtime.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals.
    • Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards for security and compliance.
    • Team Development: Mentor team members and drive technical skills development.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • 10+ years of experience in technical leadership, combining software and systems engineering skills, preferably in e-commerce.
    • Expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and problem-solving.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Experience with incident management, SLA/SLO/SLI management, and observability tools.
    • Knowledge of containerization technologies and microservices architecture.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Relevant certifications and proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.

    Compensation: $168,200.00 - $236,500.00 annually (Bonus & RSU included)
