About Sydney Linden:
Sydney Bowie Linden is a documentary director and cinematographer based in Southern California. She discovered her love of filmmaking as an undergraduate at University of California, Los Angeles, where she began crafting intimate, character-driven documentaries grounded in observational filmmaking. In 2016, Sydney received a Fulbright Grant to work on her first feature-length film ¡Boza!, which screened at Academy Award-Qualifying film festivals and was a Semifinalist for the Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund. Her work has been featured on The New Yorker Documentary Series and has received selection from festivals across the United States, including Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Heartland International Film Festival, Slamdance Cinema Club, Mountainfilm Festival, Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival, Sun Valley Film Festival, and Newport Beach Film Festival. In June of 2021, Sydney received her M.F.A. in Documentary Film from Stanford University. She is currently in development on a new feature length documentary with the Academy Award nominated and Emmy winning production company Film 45.

Worked as a producer and b-camera operator on a 6-part documentary series funded by Protocol Labs. Duties included but not limited to pre-production research and casting, hiring crew, organizing and scheduling shoots, story producing (creating stringouts and paper edits in Adobe Premiere), assistant editing, writing interview questions, booking travel, budgeting, instituting covid protocol, developing and maintaining workflow systems for entire crew and staff.

Directed, produced, shot and edited two films released on The New Yorker Documentary Series, The Space Between (2021) and Black Gold (2022). Additionally worked as a Director of Photography on the short film The Act of Coming Out (2022).
