    This is a time-limited (X-16) positionThe Office of Nursing Workforce Director (ONW) Director will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the responsibilities of ONW and MS Nurse Volunteer Program ( MnVP)

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Direct, supervise, and evaluate the work activities of ONW and MnVP.
    • Plan, implement, and administer programs and services, including human resource administration, training, and coordination of ONW & MnVP staff.
    • Establish objectives and evaluative or operational criteria for managed departments.

    • Office of Nursing Workforce Project Manager
    • Mississippi Nurse Volunteer Program Project Manager
    • Mississippi Nurse Volunteer Program Nurse IV
    • Administrative Assistant
    What you'll need to be Successful

    To succeed in the ONW Director role, the individual will need strong leadership skills, the ability to effectively coordinate and manage multiple programs, exceptional supervisory abilities, proficiency in program development and implementation, and excellent communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Typically requires state licensure as a Registered Nurse and 2-4+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

    Agency preferred qualification(s): licensure as a Registered Nurse and 2-4+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse; experience carrying out several nursing programs in a public health setting.
