    We collaborate, build, and operate world-class Enterprise Application Delivery Networks for the Public Sector.

    Collaborate to design the best solutionsAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will be developing new applications and user interfaces for our customers to interact with both Akamai and Government systems.

    You'll be working with our Custom Government WebDev team on a growing number of web applications that serve our customers in the US Army, Air Force, DISA and other mission partners.

    As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
    Acting as a lead in designing, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of complex applications and solutionsDesigning intuitive and engaging user interfaces and user experiencesWriting and maintaining a solid unit, functional, and integration tests for automation in a continuous integration environmentCollaborating with fellow developers, product managers, and other customer-facing teams to design interfaces to configure and monitor various connected systemsDo what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:Have 5 years of related experience and/or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fieldExperience with full-stack web development and MVC architectures (bonus for experience with Ruby on Rails)

    Have experienced with Git, modern Javascript, HTML5 and CSSHave familiarity with Linux/bash/zshBe a team player who thrives in a collaborative environmentHave familiarity with the following as a bonus:

    #LI-RemoteCompensationAkamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $113,430 - $170,043/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
