The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Prince George's County, Parks and Recreation, Aquatics and Athletic Facilities Division is seeking Custodians for the Tucker Road Ice Rink.

Candidates will responsible for cleaning, upkeep and maintenance of the rink. The schedule will be days, evenings and weekends.

The salary range will be $15.00/hour - $15.52/hourdependent on experience, qualifications, and certifications.

Examples of Important Duties

Cleaning and maintain the entire complex, interior and exterior. Clean glass and stainless steel surfaces, dust, remove trash, sweep, mop, and vacuum. Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock supplies;
Display a positive attitude. Greet customers, set up and open, stock, break down and clean, and inventory;
Maintain a safe and hygienic appearance and work area ensuring all facility safety and operations rules and regulations are being followed;
Communicate with managers of any concerns and/or needs of supplies for facility operations and its equipment;
Open and/or close the ice rink as required and completing all security procedures;
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and/or written instructions efficiently and effectively;
Complete safety trainings and certifications as required. Performs other related duties as assigned;
Display a positive attitude;
Properly recycle Commission waste including paper, plastic, glass, and other products;
Previous custodial, grounds keeping or maintenance experience a plus

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

High school graduate or GED, and one year of experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience;
Requires long periods of standing, frequent walking, repeated bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, or reaching; recurring lifting of objects up to 49 pounds
