    Description

    Join a top company specialized in global supply chain solutions as a Logistics Business Development Manager. This remote role requires candidates to be located near San Diego, CA, offering flexibility with access to major urban and business hubs. You will be in charge of creating new business opportunities, expanding our range of services, and nurturing strong relationships in the industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and grow business in domestic and international ocean and airfreight sectors.
    • Analyze client requirements to provide tailored logistics solutions with a focus on service excellence.
    • Manage and expand comprehensive transportation services, including warehousing and distribution.
    • Explore new prospects within the assigned sales territory to boost business growth and surpass revenue goals.
    • Plan and conduct weekly sales visits, maintain a targeted client list, and foster solid business connections.
    • Enhance profitability and increase revenue within the specified region.
    • Handle RFPs, create SOPs for customer guidelines, and discover new business prospects through proactive outreach.
    • Establish pricing strategies and deliver persuasive sales pitches.
    • Represent the company in sales meetings, involve key clients through strategic events and relationship-building initiatives.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
    • Demonstrated success in sales within the transport and logistics sector.
    • Experience in freight forwarding, with international business exposure being a bonus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce, with advanced networking skills.
    • Active involvement in industry-related associations is highly valued.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, focusing on multi-modal operations like air and/or ocean freight.
    • Strong business development expertise and an extensive existing network of contacts.
    • Capacity to plan efficiently and handle schedules effectively.
