    About the Job:

    Join Curebound, a leading organization dedicated to funding innovative cancer research. As we enter our next 5-year strategic plan, we are looking for a passionate individual to drive revenue growth through community fundraising events like Padres Pedal the Cause and the Concert for Cures.

    Company: Curebound, formerly known as Padres Pedal the Cause, has significantly expanded its budget to $16.5M annually as of 2024. We focus on raising funds to support groundbreaking research in the fight against cancer.

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a Development Manager to lead recruitment and fundraising efforts for our signature events. This role involves building teams, driving revenue growth, and making a real impact on cancer research.

    Focus Areas of 2024:

    • Own a portfolio of fundraising teams and meet with top fundraisers
    • Recruit new teams to join fundraising campaigns
    • Engage deeply in the community to drive retention and fundraising growth
    • Partner with CDO to sell tickets and secure donations for the Concert for Cures
    • Sell new tables to prospects and donors
    • Manage inbound sales inquiries

    Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Recruit, engage, and coach team captains and fundraisers
    • Plan unique recruitment events and identify new participants
    • Work with senior management to support top fundraisers
    • Sell tickets and tables to new and existing supporters
    • Steward donors and participants to drive ticket sales

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5-7+ years of fundraising or sales experience
    • Ability to grow revenue through relationship development
    • Experience in setting and achieving goals based on data
    • Excellent communication and project management skills
    • Highly organized and goal-driven
    • Passionate about cancer research and community engagement
