    The Division of Hospital Medicine of the Department of Internal Medicine is seeking to fill three (3) full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APP).

    This individual would provide direct patient care services (i.e. as a "hospitalist") to medical inpatients at UC Medical Center, with the availability of a collaborating Hospital Medicine physician as needed.

    Mixed days/nights with an average of 91 nights, 66 days, 157 shifts per year, typically assigned in 7-day blocks.

    Nights Only – 147 shifts per year. Nights in our observation unit and days on inpatient units, observation unit or consults.
    Daily provision of inpatient medical care, including:
    Adjustments to medical and pharmacological therapies.
    Billing for E&M services rendered.
    Order new medications or adjust existing therapies based on clinical developments.

    Monitor progress of patients, adjusting therapeutic interventions and engaging a collaborative hospital medicine physician, or specialty consultation, when necessary.

    Participate in the education of nursing staff on the unit.
    Be actively involved with Quality Management, data collection, and performance improvement initiatives.
    Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program.

    Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty.

    Three (3) years nursing experience.
    Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty.
