    Description
    Job DescriptionTrendsetter Engineering is a premier provider of specialized subsea solutions for oil and gas companies across the globe. We specialize in solving unconventional problems with conventional field proven technology, especially in a crisis environment.

    This position will assist the Project Managers in all project control duties on assigned projects, including reporting, cost control, estimating, scheduling, project accounting, project coordination, procurement, and supplier management.

    The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in project planning and scheduling with demonstrable experience project cost control and analysisDuties and Responsibilities:
    Manages Engineering release BOM data to create a time phased material plan that supports the Master Schedule.
    Understand the manufacturing build sequence to best support the overall production schedule.

    Provide feedback to Shop Foreman and/or Project Manager on the status of open production orders/purchase orders to ensure on time completion of schedule milestones.

    Develop product knowledge of those materials used in the manufacture of Subsea Production Equipment.

    Capable of proposing possible solutions to problems identified for continuous improvement conceptsInterfaces with appropriate staff of other functions, Engineering, Manufacturing, or client as neededProject cost control (budgets, change orders, forecasting)Develop, maintain detailed project schedules, and identify risks/problem issues.

    Create work arounds, contingencies, and expedite materials as requiredProactively identifies, communicates, and mitigates schedule execution issues.

    Implement and maintain an earned value progress measurement systemProduce progress S-curves graphs and chartsResponsible for creating bi-weekly and monthly schedule reports to Project Manager to include critical path, project forecasts/trends and areas of concernCreate and maintain work and cost break down structures.

    Capable of identifying cost variances from budget and report variances to management as required.

    Record and publish meeting minutes and maintain action item register as requiredMaintain an MOC Log and generate/steward change orders where requiredProvide expertise and guidance to less experienced individuals in a mentoring capacityAll other duties as assignedQualifications:

    BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering or Management, or relevant industry experience+3-5 years of relevant project planning experienceOil & Gas Projects and/or subsea project experience preferred,Experience in engineering, manufacturing, project management and/or construction work sequences requiredCapable of communicating ideas and concepts, ability to influence others as needed, explaining why things are done the way they are within a broader organizational contextAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and ERP systems such as MS Dynamics NAVAbility to meet deadlines under pressureOpen minded with a strong customer orientation.

    Self-motivated, independent, proactive, and able to take initiativeProficiency in MS PowerPoint and WordExcellent communication skills
