**Job Classification:** Exempt
**Salary Range**: $35,000 $40,000 annually
**Position Summary:**
Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity (MVHFH) is a nonprofit housing organization that brings people together to build homes, community, and hope in Lucas County. Our vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We work toward this vision by building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of a decent and affordable place to live. As a Christian ministry, we also strive to keep God at the Center of all that we do.
The Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for providing logistics support for our Homeownership, Home Repair, and Home Rescue construction sites. Major responsibilities include organizing our onsite construction materials and tools, keeping an accurate inventory or those materials, and delivering them safely to and from the jobsites when scheduled. Occasionally, volunteers may be utilized to assist with some tasks, and the Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator will be expected to lead the volunteers in the performance of those tasks. As a Christian ministry, we also strive to keep God at the Center of all that we do.
**Responsibilities and Duties:**
Follow the MVHFH Safety Policy. Ensure that volunteers also follow the Safety Policy.
Successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certification. Training will be provided by MVHFH as needed:
+ Habitat Competent Person Safety Training
+ First Aid / CPR / AED Training
+ Fire Extinguisher Training
+ Forklift Training
+ Other training as required
Working with Construction Project Manager:
Keep an accurate inventory of onsite tools
Keep an accurate list of the jobsite location of all our major tools
Ensure that onsite tools are well-organized, safe, and ready to use
Assist with the purchase of new tools as needed
Deliver tools to and from jobsites according to the construction schedules
Keep accurate records of all deliveriesKeep an accurate inventory of onsite construction materials
Deliver materials to and from jobsites according to the construction schedules. Frequent lifting will be required.
Keep accurate records of all deliveries
Assist with the purchase of construction materials as needed
Truck fleet maintenance:
Working with Quality & Resource Manager:
Keep accurate logs of truck fleet maintenance issues
Ensure that routine truck fleet maintenance is performed on a timely basis
Schedule and complete truck fleet repairs on a timely basis
Some Saturday work may be required, sometimes with short notice. An alternate day off will be scheduled to compensate for all Saturdays worked.
Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications, Certifications and Skills**
Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
At least one year experience working with construction tools and materials.
Experience driving a 16 box truck (or larger) preferred.
Paid or volunteer experience with non-profit community-based organizations a plus.
Excellent interpersonal communications and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate in both written and verbal form.
Ability to foster trust, credibility, and cohesive teamwork among persons with diverse talents, backgrounds, and perspectives.
Ability to work with volunteers.
Ability to work independently and to make on-the-spot decisions.
Ability to work on a flexible schedule and to work some evenings and/or weekends.
Ability to plan, organize and delegate.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds, stand, squat, bend, and climb ladders to roof level and into foundations.
Good computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to learn and use our project management software, BuilderTrend (training provided, if necessary).
Certification for Forklift operation (training provided, if necessary).
CPR, AED and First Aid certification required (training provided, if necessary).
A valid drivers license and the ability to be insured under Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanitys auto insurance and drive affiliate vehicles with trailers, as well as Lift Truck.
Must pass background check including criminal records and sex offender registry prior to offer of employment
Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with contractors, supervisor, co-workers, and other Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity staff.
Willingness to attend training and conferences as appropriate.
Must have commitment to the Habitat mission and uphold its values and ethics.
