    Description

    The role of Marketing Assistant is accountable for providing support in the areas of business development, marketing and sales-including market research, proposals, client relationships, and general support activities for Michaud Cooley Erickson. They work closely with staff, project managers and principals. This role requires creativity, innovation, organization, and strong communication skills.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Business Development

    Market Research

    • Support completing market research for Principals based on needs for markets both by sector and geography, documenting information, and providing to Principals as necessary.
    • Support Principals with the development and execution of their sector's business development strategies.
    • Support Principal to find potential partners in new markets.
    • Use various market research databases to gather information.
    • Gather market insights through research, participation in industry conferences and organizations, and direct contact with partners.
    Client Relationships
    • Support Principals and Project Managers with the development of client relationships by participating in lead generation activities such as:
    Attend industry events and professional organizations

    Monitor existing Request for Proposals (RFP) online portals.

    Connect principals and project managers with opportunities.

    Maintain our Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
    • Advocate quality client service in communications, documentation, and interactions.
    Sales

    Support
    • Work closely with Principals, Project Managers, and Sales Team to support on the development and implementation of their sector strategies.
    • Assist in Go/No-Go process.
    • Assist in assembling and supporting proposal efforts.
    • Assist in attending pre-proposal walkthroughs when necessary.
    Data Analytics
    • Accountable for data analytics activities within MCE projects database and CRM database.
    • Utilize data to inform and support Principal & Sales Team strategic business decisions and fee proposals.
    Marketing

    Marketing Materials
    • Assist with document preparation needed by the project teams and supporting with the Win/Loss analysis process.
    • Aid in the preparation and practice for project interviews, contributing to graphic design and material assembly.
    • Facilitate the collection and organization of project data in collaboration with others.
    • Contribute to the company's digital presence by updating the website and social media platforms.
    • Support the creation of marketing materials.
    Requirements

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications is preferred.
    • Up to 2 years of experience in business development, marketing, communications with demonstrated success.
    • Working knowledge of engineering, architectural or design consulting services is preferred.
