Description
OVERVIEW
The Quality Manager will oversee the activity of the Quality Department and staff.
The primary directive will be developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality management system, and supporting the organization's products and/or development processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
Serves as primary point of contact for customer base on quality topics, and for supplier base on requirements/expectations.Hires and trains quality staff & oversees daily workflow and schedules of the department.
Conducts performance evaluations in a timey and constructive manner while overseeing discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy when required.
Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.Communicates quality standards and parameters to quality team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
Coordinate/participate in product testing processes.
Identifies and analyzes issues, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
Coordinate audits of the Quality Management System (QMS); including internal, external, and customer audits.Manage the Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) system and ensure that all Corrective/Preventive actions are completed in a timely and effective manner to prevent recurrence of issues.
Lead Management Review meetings, present evidence of the effectiveness of the QMS to the Executive Management team.Manage the Process Change system, including review and approval of change requests.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed preferred.
Three to five years of experience in a related field required with supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
Great organizational, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
Proven time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to interpret customer drawings and quality requirements.
