    Description

    OVERVIEW

    The Quality Manager will oversee the activity of the Quality Department and staff. The primary directive will be developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality management system, and supporting the organizations products and/or development processes.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
    • Serves as primary point of contact for customer base on quality topics, and for supplier base on requirements/expectations.
    • Hires and trains quality staff & oversees daily workflow and schedules of the department.
    • Conducts performance evaluations in a timey and constructive manner while overseeing discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy when required.
    • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
    • Communicates quality standards and parameters to quality team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
    • Coordinate/participate in product testing processes.
    • Identifies and analyzes issues, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
    • Coordinate audits of the Quality Management System (QMS); including internal, external, and customer audits.
    • Manage the Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) system and ensure that all Corrective/Preventive actions are completed in a timely and effective manner to prevent recurrence of issues.
    • Lead Management Review meetings, present evidence of the effectiveness of the QMS to the Executive Management team.
    • Manage the Process Change system, including review and approval of change requests.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed preferred.
    • Three to five years of experience in a related field required with supervisory experience preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
    • Great organizational, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proven time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Ability to interpret customer drawings and quality requirements.
