System Administrator

Would you like an opportunity to be the subject matter expert optimizing system performance as well as processes, workflows, and procedures while leveraging your System Administration skills?

The client is a rapidly growing company in Richmond, VA who is looking for a System Administrator to join their innovative collaborative team who operates state of the art computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and records management systems (RMS).

As a System Administrator you will be able to directly leverage your VMware expertise and CAD/RMS systems experience to take the lead on deploying enterprise hardware and software as well as provide support for both Windows server and desktop operating systems.

If you have experience with VMware, CAD/RMS systems, and deploying enterprise level hardware and software, this is the perfect opportunity for you

Please note this is an onsite position. Candidates must be able to work in the client's Richmond, VA area office.

As a System Administrator, you will:

Deploy enterprise hardware and software
Ensure the security and stability of VMware networks
Lead the server and desktop patching process
Optimize processes and workflows to maximize system performance and availability

Position requirements:

3+ years of System Administration experience
PremierOne CAD/RMS systems experience
Strong VMware skills
Demonstrated ability to deploy enterprise level hardware and software
Experience with managing the monthly Microsoft patch cycle
Expertise in monitoring system health and proactively addressing issues before they impact system availability
Ability to troubleshoot network and hardware issues
Experience managing vendor support tickets
Onsite position working at client's Richmond, VA area office
