    Summary: The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for coordinating efforts to ensure the cleaning, maintenance, breakroom supplies and mail delivery is complete daily. In addition to supporting the logistics team and employees as needed.

    Work Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Stock breakroom and coffee/print areas daily.
    • Collect all outbound mail and packages within the facility.
    • Make routine mail drops/pickup to U.S. Postal Office and FedEx.
    • Make routine supply drops/pickup to local distribution center.
    • Deliver all inbound mail/packages daily to designated individuals and locations.
    • Process outbound packages daily (time sensitive)
    • Monitor and respond to inquiries received to the mailroom/service center ensuring that inquiries are answered promptly or are re-directed to the appropriate team for action or response.
    • Log building faults and maintenance requests into the property asset management system and ensure relevant SPR teams are informed of actions required.
    • Support the entire SPR staff in day-to-day operations.
    • Assist with corporate room booking and support service delivery to conference and meeting rooms when required.
    • General office administration duties and provide back-office support to SPR teams.
    • Undertake fire warden duties in the event of a building fire evacuation or evacuation drill.

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (including American money and weight measurement), using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Ability:

    Ability to operate computerized mail and package processing equipment, desktop computer/programs/network and fax machine. Operate front desk switchboard, badge system and OMS for order entry. The right candidate will be trained.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    Must have valid Drivers License

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit.

    The employee is routinely required to lift up to 25 pounds. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 60 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
