    Description

    Buyer needed for a top Specialty Chemicals Company

    · Greater Houston area

    · $65,000 - $75,000 base salary

    One of the nation's premier Chemical Manufacturers is looking for a Buyer to join their rapidly expanding team This is a Specialty Chemicals company with an impressive product line and even more impressive work environment

    The Buyer will work closely with various departments and external business partners to collect and review data, create PO's, set up new vendors in a plant setting. This an opportunity with ample room for growth within the organization.

    The Buyer will have the following responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to identify the related purchasing document, for any incoming invoice.
    • Oversee requisitions for the plant to ensure approval received is on time.
    • Onboard new vendors, and collaborate with accounting to provide standard credit references and share typically requested information in an efficient and consistent manner
    • Collaborate with Maintenance to link purchasing work orders.
    • Replenishment/ MRO

    The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

    • Bachelor's degree (Business or Finance preferred)
    • 1-3+ years of procurement/ purchasing experience
    • Experience working in a plant setting
    • Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills
    • Efficient data entry skills
