- Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for skill trade positions, including but not limited to construction workers, technicians, and specialized tradespeople.
- Utilize industry-specific networks and resources to attract top talent.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a liaison between management and employees, addressing any concerns or grievances that may arise.
- Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and employees on HR-related matters.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through proactive employee engagement initiatives.
- Training and Development:
- Identify skill gaps within the workforce and coordinate training programs to address them.
- Facilitate technical training sessions for employees in skill trade roles, including safety protocols, equipment operation, and industry-specific certifications.
- Monitor employee progress and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive offerings that attract and retain talent.
- Conduct salary surveys and benchmarking to maintain market competitiveness.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Collaborate with safety officers and management to promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements relevant to skill trade industries.
- Investigate and report on-the-job accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- SHRM certification preferred.
